monday mosaic a weekly literary forum 18th oct

dear friends this week we had a poetry reading session from tagores geethanjali by the poet ramateertha. our guest of the week was K.Hariprasadarao Asst Commissioner, GVMC. Mr.Muralimohan retd bank officer and a singer,writer, journalist, introduced a story from the Bible which inspired him very much. and the main part of the programme was a lecture of thirty minutes by Sri AcharyaVedula Subrahmanya Sastri retd professor from Andhra University, who is an eminent scholar  having phd in both sanskrit and telugu rendered a beautiful and interesting lecture on Adi Sankaracharyas SOUNDARYA LAHARI written about the power of the SAkthi or the Divine Mother. it was a listeners delight to hear from the great scholar hearing the rendition and also explanation of the aesthetics of the poetry. the guest of the week shared his happiness and was elated to have been there to hear a great speech which he had longed to from many years. the programme conclude by Jagaddhatri after a hearty interaction on literature by the people present.see you next week again !
