When some people objected the story as it states the basic instinct of man, Surya Rao being the member of the selection committee. supported and successfully retained it by explaining the others the psychological implication of the story. So in a way he shared with his experiences along with sharing the story. The story is about a man , who lives as a strict disciplinarian, one night gets stuck up in a storm in an unknown small railway station. none to help him except the lady whom he does not care for before who is a beggar woman. she protects him from his fear by caressing him like a mother. then the mind of the man changes but to find the lady dead under the collapsed roof of the booking clerk's room the next morning. in her hands were his purse and some money from the counter the clerk left. Rao takes away the money from her hands and keeps back in the counter. and he takes awy the money in his purse from her hands and leaves only his card in her hand. HE does this because for all the solace she had given him the night before he never wanted any one to think of her as a thief. this is a great psychological widely applaused by the world and translated to many foreign languages too. The next event as it always an Eminent writer, artiste Sri Dwivedula Somanatha Sastry who in his eighties with all zeal and zest took all the trouble to come and share the experiences of his life, that turned him a writer, and an eminent artiste by taking coaching from a great artiste Antyakula PydiRaju . he also told the audience how he shared his views with eminent writers like Chaso and SriSri and so on.
